Think about it

There was an old you, the fundamental you. Unrestrained, trusting, bold, daring and free. You did what you like, you went where you want to. You tirelessly rose up again and again when you fall. You faced pain straight in the face. Undaunted and undefeated, nobody could tell you what you can or cannot do. You believed in what you wanted to believe in and you believed in miracles, and yes, love.

Then there was a new you. A new creation of life experiences and the knowledge gained from the common people of the common world. They weigh their decisions, they count their steps, they think of the consequences and consider taking risks to be stupid. Skeptical, safe, afraid and reserved, you stopped believing in miracles and you stopped believing in love. Nothing mattered more than self preservation because you got really afraid of getting hurt. Pain has become an insuppressible devil you cannot handle. You think you are now safer and well protected. You think you can be happier but fact is, you have stopped being the REAL you. Are you really happier? Think about it.
