Been thinking a lot about the nature of love. We claim to love someone dearly but do we really understand the degree of it? Am a firm believer that the quintessence of true love is when you can choose to love someone even when he/she is undeserving. I recognise this conscious action of love is a mountain even higher than Mount Everest to climb. Be it your family, partner or friends, we cast them aside and focus on our own happiness when it's hard to love. It's natural. And when I compare how God can love us even at points of our most unlovable moments, I understood the degree of it all. Here at 11 degrees and enjoying the beginning of spring after a harsh ending to a winter, I thank you for your love Lord. And yes, even at the depths of this valley, I still love you. It is at the lowest of your low, you truly find the only way is up. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for teaching me how to love.
